How can I use Umugenzi online?

Many have been done so far and others are being done at the moment so that this Social Network can continue to offer great and quality services to the public.

Friendly Url:

Did you notice that now you can direct to your user profile page by just typing in www.umugenzi.com/username in the address bar? This is one of the new features available now. The site gives you a direct and friendly URL (web address) to your personal user profile page on the Umugenzi network.

This is great if you wish to link your profile page to your other accounts on Google Plus, Twitter, Facebook or even at your web sites and blogs so that people can know where else you share your updates, blogs, videos, photos, and personal news online.

Also, note that you can create your personal fan page or group page, like www.umugenzi.com/groupname that you want to use, so that you can keep your friends and fellows entertained and/or informed on one platform online.

Follow Buttons:

With the friendly Url, you can now easily link your Umugenzi user profile page or group page to your other profiles online or web site by posting a follow button (see images below) and adding a follow-web link on the images. This is done just as you do for Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ follow buttons on your blogs and web sites. More images can be found at media.umugenzi.com

Secure and Private User Profile:

Did you know that you can also hide your profile from the public and people who are not your friends at Umugenzi? YES, YOU CAN.

Actually, it is very easy to hide your user profile at Umugenzi. All you have to do is to sign on to your user account, go to Home page, and then go to Preference page. On the preference page, look the Profile preference setting and then select “Set Private Status” and from then your user profile will be only viewable to your friends until you choose to deselect this feature.

New Sharing Button for LinkedIn from Umugenzi:

Did you also notice that now you can also share your blogs, forums, and everything on Umugenzi with a LinkedIn Share Button? It is safe and it works nice! This is another feature to Google+, Twitter, and Facebook Share Buttons already existing to most of our web site’s sections.
